Sales Navigator in 2026: New Features and How Export Teams Should Choose a Plan

LinkedIn added three practical features to Sales Navigator in April 2026. None of them is dramatic on its own, but together they make one thing easier for export sales teams: turning people who already show interest in your company into named, mapped and shared prospects.
In this article
We covered the basics — how Sales Navigator differs from regular LinkedIn and the standard five-step workflow — in How to Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator. This article looks at what is new, how to choose a plan if you sell into global markets, and how to build a weekly routine around it.
01What's new in 2026
On 28 April 2026, LinkedIn announced the following Sales Navigator updates (LinkedIn Sales Navigator product updates):
| Feature | What it does | Why exporters should care |
|---|---|---|
| "Who viewed my company page" filter | Filter leads by people who viewed your LinkedIn company page in the past 90 days (only members who allow their views to be visible appear) | Turns anonymous page visits into a list of real people at real companies |
| Cross-company leads in Relationship Maps | Add leads from any company to a Relationship Map, not only people at the account you are mapping | Lets you map the full deal: the buyer, their distributor, the engineering firm, the end user |
| Share account searches | Share saved account-search filters with teammates | Keeps the whole team working from the same definition of a target customer |
According to LinkedIn's community replies, the company-page viewer filter is available on Advanced and Advanced Plus.
02How each feature fits an export sales process
Company page viewers: a warm list you already earned
Most manufacturers never find out who looked at their LinkedIn company page. A procurement manager in Malaysia might check your page after seeing your booth at a trade show, then never get in touch.
The new filter lets you search for those viewers and save them as leads. It only works if people have a reason to visit your page, so it rewards companies that post regularly — product applications, factory updates, engineering explainers.
This filter connects two activities that are usually separate: company-page content (marketing) and prospecting (sales). If your page is inactive, the filter will return little. If it is active, it gives sales a short list of people who have already shown interest.

Cross-company Relationship Maps: export deals involve more than one company
An export deal rarely has a single decision-maker in a single company. A typical industrial order may involve:
- the end user's plant or technical manager,
- a local distributor or agent,
- an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor,
- a consultant or certification body.
Until now, a Relationship Map only held people from the account you were mapping. Now you can place all of these people on one map and see who influences whom.
Shared account searches: one definition of "target customer"
When three salespeople each build their own filters, they end up with three different ideas of who the ideal customer is. Sharing account searches means the manager defines the target list once — for example "food processing companies, 200–1,000 employees, headquartered in Malaysia, Indonesia or Vietnam" — and everyone works from it.
03Which plan should an export team choose?
Sales Navigator is sold in three tiers. Based on the partner material we work with, the main differences are:
| Capability | Core | Advanced | Advanced Plus |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50+ advanced search filters | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| InMail credits | 50 / month | 50 / month | 50 / month |
| Account IQ and Lead IQ | No | Yes | Yes |
| Buyer intent signals | No | Yes | Yes |
| Relationship maps, TeamLink, Smart Links, alerts | Partial | Yes | Yes |
| Central seat management and team reporting | No | Yes (standalone admin from 5 users) | Yes (standalone admin from 8 users) |
| Upload customer lists | No | CSV upload | CSV upload and CRM import |
| Advanced CRM integration (Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics and others) | No | No | Yes |
Plan names, features and minimums change, so always confirm against LinkedIn's current Sales Navigator page before buying.
A practical rule of thumb:
- One or two salespeople testing the channel: start small and focus on learning the search filters and messaging.
- A team of five or more working the same markets: Advanced is usually the right level — shared searches, team reporting, buyer intent and relationship maps are where the team value is.
- A team that already runs a CRM such as Salesforce or HubSpot: consider Advanced Plus, so leads and activity sync automatically instead of being copied by hand.
A note for teams based in mainland China
LinkedIn's China-based offerings differ from the rest of the world. The partner material we have seen states that some plans are not offered to users in mainland China and that Sales Navigator for China-based teams should be set up through an authorized LinkedIn partner. Policies change, so check the current position with LinkedIn or an authorized partner before buying.
A note on target markets
LinkedIn has been blocked in Russia since 2016, so it is not a practical prospecting channel for Russian buyers. For Russia, messengers and local platforms play a much bigger role. In Southeast Asia, Kazakhstan and the US, LinkedIn remains a strong B2B channel.
04A weekly routine for export sales
Tools only pay off with a routine. A simple weekly rhythm for each salesperson:
| Day | Task | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Review new "company page viewer" and buyer-intent leads; save the relevant ones | 30 min |
| Tuesday | Pick 5 target accounts; build or update their Relationship Maps, including distributors and contractors | 45 min |
| Wednesday | Read Account IQ for those accounts; write personalized first messages | 45 min |
| Thursday | Send connection requests and InMails; share quotes or catalogs with Smart Links | 30 min |
| Friday | Check alerts (job changes, new hires, expansions) and follow up on anyone who opened a Smart Link | 30 min |
Some habits that make a difference:
- Spend InMail credits carefully. Fifty per month is not many. Use them for decision-makers you cannot reach through a connection request or a mutual contact.
- Upload trade show contacts. After every exhibition, upload the business cards as a CSV list so you get alerts when those people change jobs or their companies grow.
- Write messages about the buyer, not about your factory. Reference something specific — a new plant, a project, a post they wrote. Generic "we are a professional manufacturer" messages are easy to ignore.
- Keep the company page active. The viewer filter only works if people visit. Two or three useful posts a week is a realistic goal.
- Send people to a page that converts. A Smart Link opened is a signal; make sure the follow-up points to a product page with specifications, certifications and a clear inquiry route.
05Common mistakes to avoid
Teams that buy Sales Navigator and see little return usually make one of these mistakes:
- Searching too broadly. A search for "purchasing manager" in "manufacturing" returns hundreds of thousands of people. Narrow by industry, company size, geography and seniority until the list is small enough to work by hand.
- Saving leads but never acting. A saved list is not a pipeline. If nobody contacts the leads within a week or two, the list goes stale.
- Copy-pasting the same message. Buyers in Kuala Lumpur, Almaty and Houston receive dozens of similar supplier messages. One specific sentence about their business does more than three paragraphs about yours.
- Ignoring the company page. Sales Navigator finds people; your company page and profiles are what they check before replying. An empty page with an old logo undermines every message.
- Measuring only replies. Track meetings booked, quotations sent and orders won. A lower reply rate from the right companies beats a high reply rate from the wrong ones.
06The bottom line
The 2026 updates do not change what Sales Navigator is for. They make it better at one specific job: connecting the interest your marketing creates with the people your sales team needs to reach.
That only works when the pieces are connected — an active company page, a team that shares one target list, and a website that gives buyers a reason to reply.
